How Can I Stop Receiving
More Unwanted E-Mail!Last Month we started fixing this problem with annoying email, You can purchase an anti SPAM program or if you are using Microsoft Outlook Express you can block email and automatically delete it. I do recommend having anti virus protection but this works very well in addition to any anti-virus software to block the unwanted email and block viruses.
1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click On Tools
3. Click on Message Rules
4. Click on Mail
5. Select New (Rules)
6. Under #1 "Conditions of rules"
Put a check in the box under "Where the To line contains people"
7. Under #3 "Rule Description"
Click on the blue or highlighted word "contains people"
8. Enter your email address under the Select people window that appears..
9. Click on Add
10.Click on Options
11.Select Message does not contain people below
12.Click on OK.This filters out all the junk that is sent to Unknown recipients or to someone else. His will stop all the junk email that is not directly sent to you. Many times if you look in the "to" area of the email. The email was to some unknown person. This is a great filter to stop this from form of junk mail.
Now we have to do something with the junk mail.
You came send it to you delete folder or delete from the email server.13.Select #2 "Select the Actions of your Rule"
Place a check mark in you desired selectionIf you choose move it or copy it to an folder you will have to click on the word " folder" under Section #3 and choose a folder. Then Click on OK until you are out of the tools menu. I suggest moving it to the "Deleted Items Folder" this way you can see if there is any email in the folder that you may want.
Also you may want to delete the messages that are in the deleted folder automatically.
1. Click on Tools
2. Click on Options.
3. Click on the Maintenance Tab.
4. Put a check in the box Empty items in deleted items folder upon exit.Past Tips
